This is achieved by applying a ceramic engobe during the manufacturing process that is attached to the body of the Brick during the firing process to create a permanent ceramic finish. The coating will not fade or change over time. **Q: Does the color of the brick fade?** Unlike concrete products, the colors of terracotta bricks do not fade. ### WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE **Q: What are bricks made of?** Bricks are made of clay and other minerals that are molded into the shape of the "brick," then "fired" at temperatures of up to 1,200°C.
